A tragic incident has been reported from Kanpur, where a young man allegedly ended his life after being deeply devastated by the death of his pet aquarium fish. The fish died following a prolonged power outage that cut off the oxygen supply to the aquarium tank.

According to family members, the youth found solace from his busy life in his aquarium, spending most of his time feeding the fish and maintaining the tank. On Friday, a power cut lasting several hours stopped the oxygen pump, causing the fish to suffocate and die one by one. Unable to bear the loss, the youth locked himself in his room, where his father later discovered his body the following evening.
