The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is reportedly preparing to approach the court seeking strict action against CPI(M) leaders in connection with the attack on ED officials in Thiruvananthapuram. The central agency aims to array key local and state leaders as accused in the case, alleging that the violent protests were not spontaneous but a pre-planned conspiracy executed with their knowledge and consent.
According to reports, the ED has gathered crucial digital evidence, including phone records, to back its case. The agency alleges that local and state-level leaders gave clear instructions to party workers to instigate violence and obstruct the officials during their duty. Prominent leaders, including former minister V. Sivankutty, who were actively involved in the protests outside the venue, are now facing legal scrutiny as the ED prepares to directly intervene in the legal proceedings.
