Free KSRTC Bus Travel for Women Launched in Perambra

The free KSRTC bus travel scheme for women has been officially inaugurated in Perambra, marking a significant milestone for female commuters in Kerala. Leader Fathima Thahaliya inaugurated the service, highlighting it as a major step toward fulfilling key welfare promises aimed at easing the daily financial burden on women.

Speaking at the launch event, Thahaliya emphasized that many women commuting daily from Perambra to Kozhikode town struggle to set aside money for daily travel expenses. The new initiative ensures free bus travel for women regardless of their destination or occupation, providing much-needed financial relief and enhancing public transport accessibility.

Commuters are advised to watch for official guidelines from the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) regarding eligible bus categories and required identification documents, if any, to avail of the free travel. While the initiative promises to boost women’s mobility and safety, passengers should stay updated on route schedules and operational timings.
