Simple Rituals to Overcome Obstacles with Lord Ganesha’s Blessings

Many people face persistent obstacles in their daily lives, whether in education, career, buying or selling property, or even visiting temples. According to traditional beliefs, Lord Ganesha, known as both the creator and remover of obstacles (Vighnahara), can help clear these hurdles when propitiated with specific, simple rituals.

To overcome these difficulties, devotees are advised to offer a lemon garland made of 27 lemons, strung personally using banana fiber or thread, at a nearby Ganesha temple for three consecutive days. On the third day, after offering the garland, a special Pushpanjali should be performed using the Vighnahara Stotram. Additionally, taking a coconut, waving it eight times to the left over oneself while praying for obstacles to shatter, and then breaking it can help ward off negative energies.

For long-term peace and prosperity, offering a Karuka (Bermuda grass) garland or a Mukkutti garland to Lord Ganesha on one’s birth star (Janma Nakshathram) day every month is highly recommended. These simple acts of devotion are believed to remove life’s hurdles and bring harmony to the household.
