A devotee shares an extraordinary experience at the Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple, where she believes the goddess herself appeared to her and her niece during Adi Pradakshinam (prostration circumambulation).

The incident began when her niece, a BTech student, lost her bag containing important college files on a train journey from Delhi. Distressed over the loss, the niece was deeply upset. The devotee prayed to Guruvayurappan, promising that if the bag was recovered within a few days of returning home, she would perform five consecutive rounds of Adi Pradakshinam without any gaps.

Despite her brother dismissing the possibility of recovery, the devotee held firm in her prayer. A few days later, the niece received a parcel — the lost bag had been found and sent back. Accompanying it was a letter explaining that someone had discovered the bag near a waste basket and arranged for its return.

True to her word, the devotee went to Guruvayur temple with her niece to fulfill the vow. They began the five rounds of Adi Pradakshinam. On their first attempt, heavy crowds and temple restrictions meant they could only complete about one and a half rounds. They returned a few days later to try again.

During the second attempt, as they reached the Devi temple area near the end of the second round, the niece asked whether they needed to complete all five rounds or stop early — a doubt she expressed quietly, unheard by anyone else around. The devotee confirmed they would complete all five.

As they reached the exit point after about two and three-quarter rounds, a woman appeared from inside the temple. She was around 50-55 years old, dressed in a light blue set mundu and blue blouse, and had a graceful, auspicious presence. The woman walked up to them, gently touched the niece’s shoulder, and said, “Complete it fully, complete it all,” before crossing past them and heading toward the Devi shrine.

The devotee asked her niece what the woman had said. But when they turned around to look, the woman was nowhere to be seen. The temple was crowded, yet the woman had vanished within a second. They never saw her again, even on subsequent visits to the temple.

The devotee and her niece were stunned. They believe it was the goddess herself who appeared to encourage them to fulfill their promise completely. The experience has deepened their faith immensely.
