Shocking Revelations Expose Illegal Surrogacy Mafia Operating in Kerala

A shocking revelation has exposed the active operation of an illegal surrogacy mafia in Kerala, centered around Ernakulam. According to reports, vulnerable women facing financial distress are being targeted by agencies and housed in a hostel-like facility in Tripunithura under poor living conditions. The surrogates are reportedly promised six lakh rupees, which is paid out in multiple installments from various bank accounts.

The racket came to light after a friend of one of the victims revealed the details following a chance meeting at a temple in Thrissur. The victim, a 32-year-old married mother of two facing severe family and financial difficulties, was lured into the arrangement through an agency. Currently, around four to six pregnant women are reportedly being housed in a rented house, which the agency refers to as a hostel, registered under one of the women’s names to avoid legal scrutiny.

The victims are allegedly kept in the facility for six to seven months during their pregnancy and for a short period after delivery. Reports indicate that hospitals often push for Cesarean deliveries to inflate medical bills, and the medical expenses are deducted from the promised amount. Despite clients paying monthly expenses of around fifteen thousand rupees for food and medical checkups, the women complain of extremely poor quality food and lack of basic care, prompting calls for a thorough investigation by the police and health departments.
