Kerala June Ration Distribution to Begin on June 2: Card-Wise Quotas and Updates Announced

The Kerala government has announced the schedule and card-wise foodgrain quotas for the June ration distribution. Following the conclusion of May’s distribution on May 30, ration shops across the state will remain closed on May 31 and June 1 to update the ePOS system database. The distribution of June’s ration will officially commence on Tuesday, June 2.

Under the newly updated distribution plan, Yellow cardholders (AAY) will receive 30 kg of rice and 2 kg of wheat for free, along with three packets of wheat flour (atta) at ₹7 per packet. However, the 1 kg of sugar previously provided to Yellow cardholders is suspended for June. Pink cardholders (PHH) are eligible for 4 kg of rice and 1 kg of wheat per member for free, with an option to get four packets of atta at ₹9 per packet in place of a portion of their wheat quota. Blue cardholders (NPS) will receive 2 kg of rice per member at ₹4 per kg, while White cardholders (NPNS) will get 4 kg of rice at ₹10.90 per kg. Both Blue and White cardholders can also purchase up to 4 kg of atta at ₹17 per kg, subject to taluk-level stock availability.

Additionally, beneficiaries who have not yet purchased their kerosene quota for the April-May-June quarter can collect it this month, with Yellow cardholders receiving one liter and Pink/White cardholders receiving half a liter. This distribution marks the first under the newly sworn-in government with Anoop Jacob as the Food Minister. Beneficiaries are encouraged to verify their exact monthly allocations online via the ePOS portal before visiting the shops to ensure transparency and avoid technical delays.
