Madhav Opens Up About Negative Reviews and Hate Campaign

Actor Madhav, son of Kerala BJP minister K. T. S. Unni, speaks candidly about the hate campaign and negative reviews targeting his recent film. In this interview, he reveals that he was asked for ₹1 lakh to avoid negative reviews and discusses the coordinated efforts to sabotage his movie’s release.

Madhav addresses the political targeting he faces due to his father’s position in the BJP. Despite being labeled by political affiliations, he clarifies that he is politically neutral and supports good individuals from any party. He emphasizes that his only priority is his home state and country.

The actor describes how the movie’s show timings were suddenly changed without notice, preventing many audience members — including his own family — from watching the first show. He calls this a “technical glitch” that he has never heard happening to any other film.

On the topic of negative reviews, Madhav says there are honest reviewers who genuinely critique films for a living, but selectively targeted hate campaigns are different. His producer is taking legal action against those responsible and plans to re-edit and re-release the film after making changes based on audience feedback, at his own expense, to fulfill the promise made to viewers.

Madhav humbly admits he is still learning his craft and has not yet delivered a big hit. He asks only for the audience to allow him to work hard and improve, stressing that while his performance may be criticized, no one can question his commitment.
