Madhav Suresh, son of veteran actor and Union Minister Suresh Gopi, has opened up about the intense criticism and negative reviews surrounding his latest film Angam Attahasam. In a candid interview, the young actor addressed the hate campaign he believes has been orchestrated against the movie and questioned whether his father’s political affiliations are the reason behind the targeted attacks.
Speaking to the media, Madhav pointed out the personal nature of the abuse he has been receiving on social media, including insults directed at his family. He noted that many of the comments target not just him but also his father and mother simply because of their political background.
Madhav emphasized that he is politically neutral and supports good individuals regardless of their party affiliation. “I have said this openly many times — I do not have a preference for any political party. I will support good people from any party because my state and my country come first,” he stated.
The actor also revealed a shocking detail about the negative review campaign. He claimed that an individual demanded one lakh rupees to refrain from posting a negative review of the film. This, he believes, is part of a larger coordinated effort to bring down the movie.
Regarding the film’s release, Madhav said that the show timings were changed at the last minute from 9 PM to 10 PM, preventing many family members and well-wishers from watching the first show. He described this as highly unusual and something he had never heard of happening to any other film.
Despite the setbacks, Madhav confirmed that the producer is committed to re-editing the film and re-releasing it with changes, especially to the climax. The team is also planning to meet the Chief Minister and pursue legal action against those responsible for the negative campaign.
On a personal note, Madhav admitted that he is still learning as an actor and has not yet delivered a major hit. “I am just learning. I have never claimed to be a great actor. The audience decides who becomes a superstar, and I only hope they recognize my effort and hard work,” he said.
He concluded by appealing to the public to allow him to work hard and prove himself without being dragged into political controversies that are beyond his control.
