Mother Reunited with Son Four Years After He Went Missing from Bihar Temple

In a miraculous turn of events, a mother in Bihar was reunited with her son four years after he went missing from a temple in Aurangabad. The boy, Shivam, was just four years old when he disappeared during a crowded Savitri Puja at a Devi temple on May 30, 2022. His mother, Shanti, had been searching for him ever since, refusing to give up hope despite many believing he was dead.

The breakthrough came in May 2026 when another child, Adhyuk, went missing from the same temple. Police intensified their investigation and traced a kidnapping ring to a house in Gaya district, where they rescued Adhyuk. During the raid, officers noticed an older boy in the house whom the suspect, Ranjudevi, claimed was her son. Suspicious, police took both to the station and compared the boy’s photo with missing children records. They found a striking resemblance to Shivam, who had disappeared four years earlier.

DNA tests confirmed the boy was indeed Shivam. The suspect had raised him as her own, and he had forgotten his biological mother. After counseling, Shivam was gradually introduced to Shanti, leading to an emotional reunion at the police station. The mother wept and embraced her son, asking where he had been all these years. The case highlights the importance of parental vigilance and the relentless efforts of police in reuniting families.
