After 20 years in prison, Rahim returned to his hometown in Kerala, landing at Karipur Airport early in the morning. He was greeted by a large crowd of relatives, friends, and media personnel. Rahim’s mother, who had waited two decades for his return, was not at the airport but at their home in Feroke. Neighbors and relatives described how his mother had been in constant sorrow, often crying, and now her prayers were answered. The family had prepared a festive welcome, with a pandal set up outside their roadside home.
