Malayalam actor Saju Kodiyan has opened up about a harrowing period in his life when he spent 15 days in the ICU after a serious accident. In a recent video, he revealed that his condition was so critical that his family even made preparations for his funeral. He said that at that moment, he realized that only family members truly stay by one’s side.

Kodiyan noted that initially, many people—including public figures, politicians, friends, and relatives—visited him after he returned home from the hospital. However, after just two weeks, the number of visitors dwindled. Eventually, only he and his wife were left. He also mentioned that the media spread false stories about his health, but no one bothered to verify the facts. He expressed that even a single visit from someone would have been comforting, but most people only called on the phone.
