Popular Malayalam actress Shweta Menon has made explosive revelations after resigning from her position as the President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Clarifying her stance, she stated that she has no intention of being anyone’s puppet and raised serious concerns regarding the financial discrepancies within the association’s accounts.
Speaking about the issues, Shweta Menon revealed that since their committee lacked a treasurer, they were unable to bring out accurate financial accounts. While her committee pointed out various errors, she alleged that the major discrepancies originated from the previous committee. According to her, the previous committee’s accounts were completely mismanaged, with the majority of transactions conducted in cash and very little white money involved.
The actress added that these financial irregularities had been ongoing for several months. Expressing her relief after stepping down, she stated that she is glad to be out of the committee, though she feels sympathetic towards some of the other members who were part of it.
