Serious allegations of a pre-planned conspiracy have emerged following the tragic death of a one-and-a-half-year-old child, Arshad, in Trivandrum. Local discussions and family testimonies point towards the child’s mother, Akhila, and her partner, Ashkar, accusing them of deliberately planning to eliminate the child, whom they allegedly viewed as a liability to their future together.
According to the child’s grandmother, Reena, the baby had been subjected to severe physical abuse prior to his death. Despite previous warning signs, including a broken arm that was reported to the police, authorities allegedly failed to take timely action, accepting Ashkar’s explanation that the toddler fell from a bicycle. Further suspicions arose when Akhila left the child in Ashkar’s custody to travel to Tamil Nadu for a dance event, despite knowing his hostile behavior toward the toddler.
Following the child’s death, Ashkar’s mother and sister reportedly rushed to the rented house to clean the premises and burn potential evidence, including bandages and a partially destroyed letter. Critics and family members have strongly condemned the local police and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for their systemic negligence, pointing out that multiple prior complaints regarding domestic abuse and child safety were repeatedly ignored.
