A 25-year-old man named Rohan Mishra, desperate for a job in Delhi, boarded an express train at Bijnaur railway station in Uttar Pradesh with only a general ticket. When TTE Ananya Varma checked his ticket, she found he couldn’t afford the fine. Instead of penalizing him, she allowed him to stay and later helped him find a job.
Rohan, who had been struggling to support his ailing mother and younger brother, had only 450 rupees with him. Ananya, after hearing his story, decided to break the rules and let him travel. She later connected him with a friend in Delhi who arranged a job for him as an accounts assistant at a textile company.
Months later, Rohan received a promotion and a salary increase. He called Ananya to thank her, crediting her kindness for his success. Ananya reminded him to stay humble and continue working hard.
