Many households face severe financial crises, rising debts, and unexpected expenses that drain their monthly savings. To address these financial struggles and attract prosperity, traditional practices suggest a simple ritual using a one-rupee coin and a fresh Tulsi leaf performed on Thursdays.

The ritual begins on Wednesday night by placing a one-rupee coin in turmeric water. On Thursday morning at sunrise, after bathing, one must pluck a fresh, undamaged Tulsi leaf. The coin is then wiped clean and placed on top of the Tulsi leaf in the right palm. With closed fingers and a positive mind, the practitioner must chant the mantra “Om Sri Mahalakshmiyye Namaha, Om Sri Vishnuve Namaha, Om Sri Tulsiyye Namaha” 21 times to invoke wealth, protection, and stability.

After chanting, the coin and leaf are wrapped together in a clean yellow or white cloth. This small bundle must be kept hidden in a safe or cupboard where money is stored, ensuring no one else touches or sees it. To maintain the positive energy, one should mentally pray to Goddess Lakshmi every Thursday near the storage area.
