According to Vastu Shastra, hanging clothes in certain areas of your home can bring negative energy, financial loss, and family discord. A recent video by Manayatharumana Jyothisha Channel highlights three critical spots where clotheslines should never be placed.
First, avoid hanging clothes in the northeast (Ishana) and southwest (Kanni) corners of your home. These are sacred zones; the northeast is associated with divine energy, and the southwest with stability. Hanging clothes here can disrupt the flow of positive energy and lead to misfortune. Second, never string a clothesline across the main entrance door. This blocks the entry of prosperity and causes constant obstacles for the family. Third, refrain from hanging clothes inside the bedroom, kitchen, or in front of the prayer room. These areas require purity and positive vibrations; clotheslines here can invite sorrow and health issues.
Instead, the ideal location for a clothesline is the northwest corner (Vayukona) of the house. This direction promotes positive energy and prosperity. Additionally, ensure that no sacred plants like tulsi, koovalam, betel leaf, turmeric, or nellikka are under the clothesline. Also, avoid drying clothes at night and always wring them thoroughly before hanging to prevent tears and negativity.
