Avoid These 5 Foods to Lower Cholesterol Quickly – Doctor’s Advice

Dr. Mylan George from Arogya Malayalam shares his personal diet and lifestyle tips that help keep cholesterol and overall health in check. His daily routine focuses on small portions, the right food combinations, and avoiding certain common foods that can spike cholesterol levels.

The doctor follows a disciplined daily routine starting with 2-3 glasses of water, followed by cucumber or ash gourd juice on an empty stomach to alkalize the body and reduce acidity. A half-hour walk and 20-minute home workout keep him active throughout the day.

For breakfast, he prefers light options like boiled banana with boiled egg and green tea, or egg omelette with bread. He also recommends millet dosa and sprouted green gram dosa as healthy alternatives, while avoiding traditional heavy breakfasts.

Lunch consists of minimal rice (just half to one ladle) paired with fish, meat, vegetables, and buttermilk. He avoids sambar, rasam, and thin gravies. Dinner is early, around 6-7 PM, and includes options like chapati with omelette, chicken roll, or soup. No rice or biryani at night.

According to Dr. George, the key to lowering cholesterol is controlling portion sizes, cutting down on refined rice, avoiding dried fish combinations that cause weight gain, and maintaining an early dinner routine. Despite eating eggs daily, his cholesterol stays at a healthy 160, proving that dietary myths about eggs are unfounded.
