Popular Malayalam actor and comedian Salim Kumar has been admitted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi following a severe deterioration in his health. Reports indicate that the veteran actor is currently on ventilator support, with a specialist team of doctors closely monitoring his condition.

Salim Kumar, widely regarded as the comedy emperor of Malayalam cinema, has been battling liver-related ailments for several years, which had previously forced him to take a long break from acting. Although he had recovered and started appearing in minor roles, his health recently took a turn for the worse, leading to his urgent hospitalization. He had previously credited the medical team at Amrita Hospital for his recovery from past health crises.
