ADGP MR Ajith Kumar Faces Trouble as SIs Testify on Document Forgery in Nava Kerala Assault Case

In a major development, ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar is facing severe legal trouble after two Grade Sub-Inspectors (SIs) testified to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that he ordered them to manipulate official records. The SIs revealed that documents were altered to protect the accused, including the former Chief Minister’s gunmen, in the case involving the assault on Youth Congress and KSU workers during the Nava Kerala Sadas.

The SIT questioned the two officers, who previously worked at Ajith Kumar’s Thiruvananthapuram office, for several hours in Alappuzha. According to their statements, crucial evidence, including witness testimonies, CDs, and digital records, was tampered with or replaced to cover up the assault. The SIT had already noted discrepancies between the recorded statements and the actual video footage of the incident.

With these statements directly implicating the top IPS officer, Ajith Kumar faces potential suspension and non-bailable criminal charges for forgery. The SIT plans to submit these statements to the court on Saturday during the bail hearing of the accused police officers. The investigation has reached its final stages, and the team is reportedly awaiting further directives from Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
