Internal conflicts and factionalism have intensified within the Malayalam actors’ association, AMMA, following the aftermath of the Hema Committee report. The disputes, which have divided the leadership into multiple factions, have now escalated towards potential legal battles, with actor Tini Tom being positioned at the center of the controversy.

The friction reportedly began within the newly formed female-led committee, headed by President Shwetha Menon and Secretary Kukku Parameswaran. While Tini Tom initially supported committee member Ansiba Hassan, disagreements later arose over administrative decisions, including sponsorship deals and the distribution of laptops. The situation worsened after Tini Tom made a controversial remark regarding Ansiba, which has since been further complicated by political differences within the association.

Responding to the allegations, a distressed Tini Tom stated that he has never misbehaved with any woman in his life and has left the matter to his faith, praying at the Kripasanam shrine. He added that both the association and his legal counsel have advised him against making further public statements. Meanwhile, reports suggest there is an ongoing effort by an opposing faction to legally target Tini Tom and distance him from the film industry.
