AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists), the leading film artists’ organization in Malayalam cinema, is facing yet another internal crisis. Former joint secretary and actress Ansiba Hassan has publicly accused fellow member Tini Tom of spreading false allegations against her and subjecting her to religious discrimination.
The controversy erupted when a channel debate featuring actor Rahul Easwar and others saw heated exchanges over the organization’s internal politics. Ansiba alleged that she was forced to resign from her position after being subjected to mental harassment based on a fake complaint filed by a female executive member. She also stated that an organized conspiracy was carried out against her by fellow colleagues.
Tini Tom denied the allegations, calling them part of a conspiracy and claiming he never made any such statements. AMMA president Swetha Menon responded by demanding clarity on Ansiba’s intentions in going public on the very day the organization was running a positive campaign.
Senior actor T.D. Tom also faces conversion-related allegations in connection with the dispute. The episode highlights the growing factionalism and infighting within AMMA, as the organization struggles to maintain unity amidst recurring internal conflicts.
