The Kerala government has announced a special Bakrid kit for ration card holders, distributed through Supplyco stores across the state. This special kit, available from May 18 to May 26, offers 10 essential items at a subsidized rate of ₹850 instead of the actual value of ₹1,101, giving cardholders a discount of about ₹250.

The Bakrid special kit includes biryani rice (3 kg), sugar (1 kg), Sabari coconut oil (1 liter), Sabari appam powder (1 kg), Sabari Gold Tea (250 g), Sabari meat masala (100 g), Sabari garam masala (50 g), Sabari chicken masala (100 g), Sabari pepper powder (100 g), and masala mix (50 g). These items are specially curated for the festive season.

Ration card holders can purchase this kit along with their regular monthly subsidized items. In addition to the special kit, cardholders can also buy their usual monthly entitlements including one liter of coconut oil, one kg of sugar, one kg of urad dal, one kg of chickpeas, one kg of Bengal gram, and other grains and rice.

Cardholders can purchase these items not only from ration shops but also from Supplyco outlets and Maveli stores. It is important to note that subsidized benefits should not be skipped, as missing three consecutive months can result in the loss of priority status and reclassification to the non-priority category. Officials urge all cardholders to avail themselves of these benefits on time.
