Chandy Oommen, the son of late Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, made an emotional plea to supporters after being excluded from the UDF cabinet, urging them not to label him as anti-party. In a heartfelt address, he requested the removal of flex boards and welcome banners organized in his honor, warning they could create misunderstandings.

Speaking as the newly elected MLA from Puthuppally, Chandy Oommen stated that he has been a loyal Congress worker for 26 years, serving 23 of those years without holding any official position. He expressed anguish over media reports that he described as an attempt to portray him as anti-party, emphasizing that he has never attended any group meeting even during his father’s tenure as Chief Minister.
