A powerful offering at Ganapati temples is said to bring miraculous financial transformation, even for the poorest individuals. The offering involves taking 11 coconuts and a garland made of darbha grass and lemon or darbha grass and mukutti flower to a Ganapati temple. The ritual should be performed on a Wednesday, on a Chaturthi day, or ideally when both coincide. After offering the garland to Lord Ganapati, the devotee must break the 11 coconuts one by one at the temple, each dedicated to a specific deity: the first five for the five elements (ether, air, water, earth, fire), the sixth for serpent gods, seventh for Sun god, eighth for Moon god, ninth for Shani, tenth for Kubera, and the eleventh for Mahaganapati himself.
