Actor Jayaram Trolled for Giving Conflicting Reasons for Missing Twenty 20 Climax Shoot

Malayalam actor Jayaram has found himself at the receiving end of social media trolling after two contrasting interview clips of him explaining his absence from the iconic climax scene of the multi-starrer movie ‘Twenty:20’ went viral. In the climax scene, superstars Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, and Dileep walk together, but Jayaram, who was supposed to be the fifth actor in the frame, is notably missing.

In a recent interview with a Tamil television channel, Jayaram claimed that he skipped the final shoot because he wanted to travel to his home in Chennai to celebrate Diwali, choosing the festival over the shoot. However, social media users quickly dug up an older interview given to a Malayalam channel where he stated that he chose to leave the set to go on the Sabarimala pilgrimage, claiming that his devotion was more important to him than the walk.

The contrasting statements have sparked widespread criticism online, with netizens accusing the actor of tailoring his stories to please different regional audiences. Many commentators mocked his extreme humility as hypocritical, jokingly suggesting that he might claim he left for Ugadi in a Telugu interview or Eid in a Gulf interview, highlighting how public statements are eventually scrutinized in the digital age.
