Kerala Announces June Ration Distribution for Pink, Blue, White Cards

The Kerala Civil Supplies Department has announced the ration distribution schedule for June 2025. Distribution will begin on Tuesday, June 2, as ration shops will remain closed on May 31 (Sunday) and June 1 (Monday) for system updates. This is the first ration distribution under the newly elected UDF government, with Anoop Jacob as the new Food and Civil Supplies Minister.

For Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) yellow cards, beneficiaries will receive 30 kg of rice and 2 kg of wheat free of cost, along with 3 packets of atta at a subsidized rate. However, the 1 kg sugar allocation has been discontinued for June. Priority household (PHH) pink cardholders will get 4 kg of rice and 1 kg of wheat per member free, with an option to exchange 4 kg of wheat for 4 packets of atta at a nominal price.

Non-priority (NPS) blue cardholders will receive 2 kg of rice per member at ₹4 per kg, and up to 4 kg of atta at ₹17 per kg, subject to taluk-level stock availability. No special rice quota is available for blue cards this month. For non-priority non-subsidised (NPNS) white cards, 4 kg of rice per member is available at ₹9.90 per kg, along with up to 4 kg of atta at ₹17 per kg. White cardholders receive no special rice quota and the regular rice quota remains low.

Additionally, kerosene quota for the April-May-June quarter can still be collected in June. Yellow cardholders are eligible for 1 litre, while pink, blue, and white cardholders can receive 0.5 litre of kerosene. Further announcements, including free ration for fishermen during the June 9 trawling ban, are expected in the coming days.
