Kerala MVD Recommends Allowing 18 Types of Vehicle Modifications

The Kerala Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has recommended allowing 18 types of vehicle modifications in the state. This significant move comes as part of implementing a promise made by V.D. Satheesan during his tenure as the Opposition Leader, which is now being executed following his transition to the role of Chief Minister. The Transport Commissioner has prepared a detailed report outlining these changes.

According to the new recommendations, vehicle owners will be permitted to install stickers, interior lights, additional speakers, seat covers, dash cams, and reverse cameras. Notably, the proposal also includes permission to use sun film that blocks up to 50 percent of visibility, addressing a long-standing demand from motorists in the state.
