Lulu Group has launched its much-anticipated Lulu Mango Mania festival across all Lulu hypermarkets in the GCC, featuring over 85 varieties of mangoes and mango-based delicacies. The grand inauguration was held in the presence of Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Dr Deepak Methal, Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusufali, and Lulu Apped Secretary Dr Sudanshu.

The star attraction of this year’s festival is the GI-tagged Kesar mango from Junagadh, Gujarat, famously known as the “Queen of Mangoes.” These special mangoes gained national attention when Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented them to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his recent visit to the UAE, highlighting the deep diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Alongside Kesar, a wide range of Indian mango varieties including Alphonso, Badami, Neelam, and Malgova are on display, sourced from various regions across India including Kerala. The festival showcases not just fresh mangoes but also an array of innovative mango-based food products.

Dr Deepak Methal, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, praised Lulu Group’s continued support for Indian agricultural products. He noted that the mango festival reflects the excellent commercial relationship between India and the UAE, and highlighted Lulu’s exemplary role in ensuring food security.

MA Yusufali, Chairman of Lulu Group, announced that this is the 23rd year Lulu is organizing the mango festival. This year, Lulu is making a remarkable 3,200 tons of mangoes available across the GCC through its network of over 300 hypermarkets. He emphasized Lulu’s commitment to supporting Indian farmers and products.

Dr Sudanshu added that the Lulu Mango Festival provides Indian products with a global marketplace, benefiting farmers and exporters alike. The festival will feature an extensive selection of mango-based dishes and products, offering customers a unique culinary experience across all Lulu stores.
