Actress Maala Parvathi has called for the dissolution of the current administrative committee of the actors’ association AMMA and the formation of an impartial committee to investigate the ongoing disputes. She stated that the issues within the organization are serious and that more voice clips containing major allegations will be released in the coming days.
Parvathi emphasized that the committee should not include any film industry figures, as the industry itself is divided. She supported actress Ansiba, who has faced communal slurs including being called a ‘Jihadi’, and claimed there is concrete evidence for such remarks. She also demanded that those found guilty of serious misconduct, including workplace harassment, should face lifetime bans from the industry.
Referring to the controversy involving actress Athulya, Parvathi said that the release of voice clips is just the beginning and that more revelations are expected. She urged that the complaints of Athulya, Ansiba, and Neena Kurup must be addressed properly through a neutral inquiry.
