In a shocking incident at Nalanchira in Thiruvananthapuram, a man named Suresh hacked his wife Haseena to death following a domestic dispute and went into hiding. After committing the crime, Suresh reportedly called his eldest daughter, Amrutha, over the phone to tell her that he would not return and instructed her to take good care of her younger siblings.

According to local residents and the police, the couple had been married for 19 years after a love marriage and had four children. They had moved into the rented house in Nalanchira just four months ago. The relationship had been strained due to constant domestic disputes and Suresh’s deep suspicion. Recently, a dispute arose after Haseena went out with a friend, leading to an intervention by the Mannanthala police on Tuesday. Although the police tried to resolve the issue and sent them home, the fatal attack took place within 24 hours of their return.

The tragic incident came to light in the early hours of the morning when the children woke up to loud noises and discovered their mother lying in a pool of blood in an upstairs room. The couple’s tenth-grade son immediately contacted the police to report the crime. The police have registered a case and launched an intensive search to locate and arrest the absconding husband.
