Rini Ann George has responded to the booing she faced at the UDF government’s swearing-in ceremony, clarifying that the hecklers were not Congress members but rather “traitors.” She shared a picture with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, stating that the incident occurred at the event, and she dismissed the negativity with contempt.
The actress was booed by a group of women at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Stadium during the swearing-in ceremony. Video of her smiling and walking past the hecklers went viral on social media.
In her response, Rini Ann George said, “May 18, 2026, a beautiful day in my life… the day the person I lovingly called MLA became the Chief Minister of Kerala. His chief ministership was also a dream come true for me. I had the fortune to witness that historic moment from the stage itself with delighted eyes… An unexpected moment. I got the opportunity to see and speak with many national leaders.”
She added, “Some traitors who envied all this howled… I dismissed them with the contempt they deserve right there. I do not think they are Congress workers because Congress workers have treated me with so much love and affection.”
She shared a photo with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who was present at the ceremony, as proof of her connection with Congress leadership.
