While rumors regarding his critical health condition and hospitalizations have occasionally surfaced on social media, the actor’s past medical journey highlights his survival after a successful liver transplant.

Addressing the false claims that his liver disease was caused by excessive alcohol consumption, Salim Kumar clarified that his condition was hereditary. He revealed that his brother, who did not even have a habit of drinking tea, suffered from the same illness. The actor emphasized that the liver cirrhosis was entirely genetic and not self-inflicted.
