A 19-year-old youth from Kerala has captured millions of hearts after sharing his incredible story of rescuing and adopting an abandoned newborn. The young man found the baby wrapped in a plastic bag, discarded among the tires of an old truck on a roadside. Despite doctors giving the premature baby very low chances of survival, the infant fought back and survived.

The youth, who was just 19 at the time and leading a carefree life like any other teenager, was out for an evening walk when he noticed a movement from behind some truck tires. Initially thinking it was trash, he was shocked to discover a tiny newborn gasping for air inside a soiled bag. He rushed the baby to the nearest hospital, and as he handed the infant to the doctors, the baby’s tiny hand gripped his finger tightly.

Despite many advising him to leave the matter to the police or an orphanage, the young man could not abandon the child who had held onto his finger. He decided to take the baby home. His mother was initially hesitant due to financial constraints, but after her son pleaded, she agreed to welcome the child into their home. They named the baby Arava. Since June 14 was the day he was found, that date became his birthday.

Now, nearly three years later, the baby is a healthy toddler running around the house, bringing immense joy to the family.
