Following the tragic death of Yemen’s “Spider-Man,” Al-Khakha bin Antar, who fell into a volcanic crater, intense speculation and mystery have emerged online regarding the cause of the accident. While initial reports suggested a simple slip, new video analyses circulating on social media suggest that a sudden snake bite during his climb may have led to his fatal fall.
According to reports by Arab media outlet Al-Marsad and viral social media discussions, close-up examinations of the video footage reveal an unusual movement near Al-Khakha’s right hand just before he fell. Observers point out a dark shape, resembling a venomous snake hidden in the rock crevice, suddenly striking at his hand. Immediately after this movement, he is seen pulling his hand back in shock, losing his balance, and falling backward into the deep crater.
Fans of the skilled climber firmly believe he would not have slipped under normal circumstances, lending weight to the snake bite theory. However, there is no official confirmation from medical experts or civil defense authorities yet. Due to toxic gases, extreme heat, and sulfur pools at the bottom of the Haradat Damt volcanic crater, it took rescue teams two days to retrieve his body, leaving the exact cause of death a subject of ongoing debate.
